Slow Living in a City: cute coffee shops, a farmer’s market, and ordering in
Slow living in a city is so nice. I always look forward to the days where I get to unwind and do nothing. Or explore my city in a leisurely way.
Last year, I read the Artist’s Way and made a habit to do an Artist’s Date every week. It was just a day where I would explore creatively, and I always looked forward to doing it.
I think my favorite thing was that it was a day intentionally dedicated to slowing down and enjoying life. After finishing the Artist’s Way, I noticed that I’ve been making more time for slow days because they recharge me so well for my busier days — and plus, they’re really fun.
I don’t always know what to do on my slow days, but I kind of enjoy watching them unfold. During days like this, I sometimes have things scheduled (like a workout class or volunteering) and for other things, I mostly go with the flow and see what I have energy for — even if that means going home and taking a nap lol.
Sharing my slow day in case you ever want a day to take it easy, too. Would recommend taking a break every once in a while! You deserve it.
- Breakfast at Breadbelly (I’m obsessed with this place)
- Coffee and Matcha at Home Coffee
- Shopping at a cute local goods store
- Walking through the Clement St Farmer’s Market
- Having my friends over and catching up
- Taking a midday nap lol
- Waking up groggy from my nap and ordering in food for dinner
- Sleep :)
Hope you take some time to unwind, too!
